Fiddlers Ferry Power Station – Art Prints

A familiar sight on the Warrington skyline for decades, Fiddlers Ferry Power Station was an unmistakable local landmark. Whether seen from the bridge, across the fields, or on the drive home, its cooling towers became part of the landscape — a piece of everyday history now gone, but fondly remembered.

The original image began as a gouache painting, inspired by one of my dad’s photographs. I’ve since recreated it digitally using Procreate, resulting in two colour variations — one bold and vibrant, the other in softer, muted tones to reflect the stillness and nostalgia of the scene.

Printed on Hahnemühle Sugar Cane paper, a sustainable fine art paper made from 70% sugar cane fibre, chosen for its beautiful texture and rich, soft finish.
