We are thrilled to welcome the incredibly talented maker and educator, Clare Elizabeth Kilgour, to The Fox Studios team! Clare kicks things off with a 4-week beginners’ course on Tuesday evenings, where she’ll guide you through new techniques each week. Whether you're picking up a torch for the first time or looking to grow your skills, you'll be supported every step of the way on your jewellery-making journey.

Week 1 - You will learn about basic metal working, specifically how to work with wire, and start to make a ring.

Week 2 - You will finish your sample ring(s) from the first week, then create a version in silver.

Week 3 - You'll move on to working with sheet metal, how to texture it, cut it out and finish it.

Week 4 - You can work in either copper, brass or silver, to create either a pendant or a pair of earrings.

Over 4 weeks you will learn a range of jewellery skills from soldering, piercing, forming to finishing. 

Weekly dates - 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd June 2026

What's included:
If you are a beginner all the basic kit is included in your course fee. There is a small extra fee for silver. If you sign up for the next term there's a small resource kit. It costs about £10 and includes everything you’ll need to keep going.
 
Terms and Conditions

Your booking fee secures your place – we cannot reserve places without payment. 

If we have to cancel for any reason you will be offered the option to switch to another class or receive a full refund. Classes need a minimum of 6 people to run.

If you are unable to attend a course for any reason we are unable to offer a refund. However, if you give more than seven days notice to cancel and we can fill your space on the course we may be able to offer you an alternative date. 

The minimum age to attend is sixteen. All 16/17 year olds must be accompanied by a paying adult.
