Developing your sketchbook with collage and mark making

Have fun while making a sketchbook that is useful and full of possibilities for future work?
Then this course is for you.
Working with a variety of materials (paper, magazines, paint, ink, pencil, pen, crayon etc). We will make small collage pieces that you can rework and develop finding your own style. No drawing experience is necessary it is about breaking the rules, and making new rules, to suit ourselves. The approach is flexible and relaxed. With the workshop we will create a collection of small finished canvases using ideas from your growing sketchbook. At the end you'll have a wonderful sketchbook of ideas that you can use to further and add to your work. The workshops will run approx once a month and each session will develop on the previous one.
Please bring your own sketchbook, Seawhite of Brighton do excellent quality ones, available online or at Hobbycraft
All materials and equipment are included in the price.
Tea and coffee will be provided, and there will be some sweet treats too.
Please bring your own packed lunch or there are a variety of shops nearby.
Terms and Conditions
Your booking fee secures your place – we cannot reserve payments without payment.
If we have to cancel for any reason you will be offered the option to switch to another class or receive a full refund. A minimum of 6 people is needed for the workshop to run.
If you are unable to attend a course for any reason we are unable to offer a refund. However, if you give more than seven days notice to cancel and we can fill your space on the course we may be able to offer you an alternative date.
The minimum age to attend is sixteen. All 16/17 year olds must be accompanied by a paying adult.
