Sea Glass Setting Workshop

10am – 4pm

I love working with sea glass. Bottles and glass thrown into the sea have been tumbled by the waves and gradually smoothed to create a naturally distinctive piece.  

In this workshop, I will help you create your very own unique jewellery piece by learning how to set sea glass in silver. 

Using traditional jewellery techniques, you will learn:

• Cutting
• Texturing
• Forming
• A stone setting technique called Bezel setting
• Soldering
• Filing
• Finishing

What’s Included?

All the materials will be provided on the day. I have a large selection of sea glass you can choose from.

You are more than welcome to bring your own sea glass. We can talk together to check if it’s suitable to use.

If you would prefer to work on a gemstone, I have a small selection in stock.

You will be provided with a piece of silver for setting. However, if you wish the setting to be used on a ring or bangle, there will be a small charge for extra silver used on the day.

Refreshments 

Tea and coffee are provided and there are always biscuits close to hand!

Please bring your own lunch or feel free to wander to the shops close by to purchase food.
