Five whole days of none stop jewellery making, what more could you ask for?
This course is suitable for beginners and those with experience alike. Either way, it will be friendly, relaxed environment, with no pressure, hopefully a bit of fun, to make your own lovely jewellery.
If you're a complete newbie, don't worry, you'll be settled into the workshop on the first day and make a couple of rings to get you started. After that, you can either have a set project per day, or create your own beautiful pieces. The same goes for those with a bit more experience. I introduce you to the workshop to get you started and then the choice really is yours, set projects or making your own lovely unique designs.
Some of the techniques you may want to try, ring and bangle making; textured pieces with the rolling mill, or hammered, such as rings, bangles, pendant, earrings etc; stone setting, both bezel and tube setting; seaglass setting; coloured aluminium; etching; keum boo; enamelling, just to mention a few. If there's a technique you want to try, and it's not listed here, then please do contact me to discuss further. There are so many techniques to choose from, definitely not all are listed here!
The workshop is a lovely relaxed, well equipped environment for a range of jewellery making techniques. It's just on the outskirts of Warrington town centre, in Cheshire, with free parking, or if you're coming via public transport, 5 minutes walk from Central train station or Warrington Bus station.
Tea and Coffee, plus cakes are available each day (including decaf). However, please do bring your own packed lunch. There are a couple of places around the area where you can get lunch from though, if you're like me and don't have enough time in the morning!
