Metal etching workshop - 3rd Aug 2024

We will be learning about the different etching techniques, but focusing on electro etching.  You will learn how to set up the process safely and what precautions to take, to get beautifully etched copper and silver.

In the morning, you will experiment with a range of mark making techniques before transferring your designs to silver in the afternoon, if you so wish.  You can spend the day just working with copper, it's entirely up to you. 

You will only create pieces of etched metal, we won't be making them into final pieces.  This is not a beginners workshop!

What's Included

Copper is included in the fee, however you can buy silver on the day if you wish to make a final piece up.  I will contact you approx a week before to discuss what it is you'd like to make.

Refreshments 

Tea and coffee will be provided, and I’ll get some sweet treats too.

For lunch please bring your own packed lunch or there are a variety of shops nearby.
